🎉 Thomasboro Grade School Celebrates Incredible Growth! 🎉

We are thrilled to share some exciting news about the hard work and dedication of our students, staff, and families!

In 2023, our test scores placed Thomasboro Grade School on the Targeted list in Illinois. That moment became our motivation for change. We formed our School Improvement Plan (SIP) Team, set strong academic and attendance goals, and worked together to make real progress.

When our students tested again in 2024, their efforts paid off in a big way! Our Summative Score jumped from 39.20 in 2023 to 68.20 in 2024, earning us back our Commendable School designation.

And we’re proud to share that our success has continued! In 2025, Thomasboro Grade School earned a Commendable designation once again — with math growth increasing from 9.40% in 2023 to 17.89% in 2024 and an impressive 19.06% in 2025! 📈

These results reflect the dedication of our students, the commitment of our teachers and staff, and the incredible support of our families and community.

Our annual first day of school picture! Thank you parents for sending your children to school today. We enjoyed that moment when the doors opened and we got to see them after a summer away! Rest up this weekend, we have a full week ahead! Go TGS!

We have about 1 hour left of registration at the school. If you do not register tonight you can register on the 15th and 16th from 9:30a.m. - 1:30 p.m. If you have not registered by that date your child will not be able to come to school on the first day which is July 25th. , and you will need to make an appointment to register your child starting the week of the 28th.
