Calendar Survey

Thank you to all those of you that responded to the Calendar Survey. Below are the results of the survey and we will be using the results to develop the school calendar. 

The following are the results of the calendar survey:

We had a total of 107 responses: 46 Students, 32 Parents, 3 Board Members, 24 Teachers, 

2 Administrators, 0 Community Members

Question 1: A total of 43% of respondents would like the start date of the calendar to be consistent. 

36% of the Students Agreed, 47% of the Parents Agreed, 46% of the staff Agreed and 100% of the Administrators Agreed. 

Forms response chart. Question title: I would like the start date for the calendar to always be the same. Example: Students always return to school the 1st Wednesday of the 1st full week of August. . Number of responses: 107 responses.

Question 2: A total of 64.5% of the respondents would like to have the school year end before Memorial Day. 

 65% of the Students Agreed, 59% of the Parents Agreed, 75% of the Staff Agreed and 100% of the Administrators had No Opinion.

Question 3: A total of 48.6% of the respondents Preferred the Spilt Fall Break. 

54% of the Students Preferred the Split Break, 59% of the Parents Preferred the Split Break, and 54% of the Staff and 100% of the Administrators Did Not Prefer the Split Break.

Question 4: A total of 60.7% of the respondents did not want to reduce the fall and spring break. 

65% of the students, 44% of the Parents, and 88% of the Staff did not want to reduce the Fall and Spring Break down to 1 week. 100% of the Administrators did want to reduce the Fall and Spring Break down to 1 week each.

Question 5: 61.7% of the respondents preferred a calendar with a 2 week break in the fall, a 2 week break in the winter and a 2 week break in the spring. 

76% of the Students, 44% of the Parents, 66.6% of the Staff Agreed. 50% of the Administrators Disagreed and 50% of the Administrators had No Opinion.

Question 6: 80.4% of the respondents do not want to return to a traditional calendar. 

87% of the Students, 68.75% of the Parents, 92% of the staff do not want to return to a traditional calendar. 50% of the Administrators would like to return to a traditional calendar, and 50% do not want to return to a traditional calendar.
